1) Season’s Greeting from Presidents Doug and Sandy!
Join us for our Open House, Thursday, December 22th, for some holiday cheer!
We would like to invite all Docey Dandies members and students to a social at our house.  Drop in anytime between about 6:30 and 9:00 pm.  We will be serving “mainstream” foods like sandwiches and side trays with beverages including beer, wine and soda.  We will also have some “plus” foods like Christmas goodies and a decadent hot chocolate bar.  No need to bring anything, because we know everyone will be quite busy at this time.  So, take a break from shopping, wrapping, cooking and decorating and relax with friends.  Consider inviting non-square dancing friends or visiting family members to meet us.  Anyone considering January classes is more than welcome.
Happy Holidays!      Doug and Sandy Finnicum

2) Membership – January Lessons
The membership committee would like to thank everyone who helped with our successful lessons!  We will have 12 new members graduating on January 3 from lessons!
New lessons start Tuesdays January 24 with Beth & Stan teaching them. We do have 4 people already interested without really publishing them yet!
Now would be a great time to ask all your friends, coworkers and neighbors if they would like to have some healthy fun.  We will bring lesson yard signs to the lessons this Tuesday for those who would like to place them in their yards for a few weeks.
Don’t forget the potluck lesson dance this Tuesday starting at 6:30pm.  This has turned out to be very popular and the students love the practice in a dance atmosphere!  The theme is NCAA Night where everyone can wear their favorite college team colors.
Thank you
Leslie & Daryl

  1. Club Meeting after Dance 12/10
We need to have a brief club meeting after the dance on Saturday.
  1. Secretary Role – Committee is ready to report the result of their work on dividing up the Secretary position. We need to vote on it before the upcoming elections – Daryl
  2. Leslie has put together a proposal for a Swing Dance class with Mike. The club is being asked to pay for the Grange ($25) and to incorporate one swing dance into the next club dance on the 14th.

  • This is a one, 2hr class; we can then practice these new skills at our following dance on the 14th.

  • Instructor- Mike Salerno
