1) Graduation Tonight (Tuesday, Dec.. 22, 2015)
Tonight is graduation night! We will be graduating 23 new students into the club! This will be the biggest graduation class in a long time. Please come out and welcome them into the club!
All members of the club who have helped with lessons – Thank You! Your efforts were greatly appreciated and exactly what we needed to do if we are going to grow the club!
However, just because the students have graduated doesn’t mean that they do not need your help! It is important for them to get out and dance at least once a week. Please be encouraging to them and invite them into your square. And please have patience and understanding if the square breaks down!
2) Spring Lesson Recruitment
Spring lessons will start Jan. 5th. Stan and Beth will be the instructors for the majority of the class with Mike finishing them off at the end. We are anticipating at least one square of students maybe two. Please talk to your friends and encourage them to give it a try. People who usually do try really like it!
I do not anticipate needing too many Angels for the Spring lessons. I am encouraging the Fall graduates to come and Angel the new students as way of solidifying their dancing skills. And if you bring friends to the lessons please stick around and Angel them in order to make them feel more comfortable
3) Plus Lessons
Our plans for doing Plus lessons in the Spring have a taken a bit of a setback. Two of the people who thought they were going to do the lessons have decided to wait till next year. This has put me below my 10 student threshold we thought we needed to kick off the lessons. In addition, I have received feedback from some of the club members that they think we should wait till next year to do the Plus lessons. So right now our plans are “up in the air”. If we do the Plus lessons they will start Jan. 19th as we need the time to figure out our plans. I imagine we will have a club meeting to discuss Plus lessons sometime after the beginning of the year. For everyone who has indicated they want to take the Plus class I will give you a call or talk with you at lessons tonight.
